Glacier Saturday & Sunday
Saturday was rainy and overcast. We slept in, then went to the lodge just before 10 a.m. for brekkie...the restaurant closed early! So back to the room for some cereal. Then we spent the whole day in search of critters. Up and down Going to the Sun, up and down Many Glacier. We found the coyote and some dramatic clouds, we had a very late lunch at the Cattle Baron's, and then found snow at the point that GTTS road was closed. Saturday night was the Smugmug sponsored banquet, a time to enjoy each others company over dinner, and say goodbye to those that had to head out early Sunday.
Sunday, skippy, Phyxius, Gluwater and I headed back toward Canada. We spent some time potographing Chief Mountain and then we crossed the border outside of the park, with no hassle at all. Since we didn't really get to enjoy the foothills on the way south, we chose that route to get from the border (well, from Ft. McLoed) to Calgary. Such beautiful landscape, but we had pretty much had our fill of photos by then!
